THE JOURNEY INTO DARKNESS- KAY CROWN

THE JOURNEY INTO DARKNESS PART 1

A journey is an act of traveling from one place to another especially when they are far apart. A journey can also be a trip to a place and back, especially for a short visit and we ask ourselves how we start a journey. It is often said that “a thousand miles begins with a step”, in order words once a step is being taken in life, journey begins. “Life is a journey, not a fifty yard dash”. We need to know where we are going in life.

When one does not know where he or she is going, why he or she is existing and does not give a proper planning of his life, he or she is simply journey into darkness. More so, life teaches that “he, who asks for a way, will never miss his way”. Therefore, all necessary steps taken in life should not be taken into darkness. No matter how tough life is, one should not embark on a journey that is not his or her business. If anyone does that, life would place such person at his disadvantage.

Darkness on it own means evil related to what we are reading or for someone to be in the dark, it simply means without hope or unpleasant. Also, it could e mysterious in a way that is hidden or not known. In order words, journey could be mysterious, without hope or unpleasant as the case may be. When one embarks on journey like this, it is called JOURNEY INTO DARKNESS.

Nigeria was colonized by the British who did so many things in our lives like the good, bad, ugly and the beautiful. We faced several problems during this period and with the help of our great and past leaders who fought for our independence, we were able to come out of the bondage. During the colonization, Nigeria journeyed into darkness because so many atrocities were committed. Their kind of journey was unpleasant and probably without hope.

It was hell for Nigerians as they had to undergo some difficult task which required lots of energy. They did everything to come out of darkness which they succeeded by gaining independence but may I tell you that Nigeria has journeyed back into darkness. There will be a time where seventy-five percent Nigerians will be taking their journey back into darkness because they will feel everything I solved.
