My friend and brother, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Affairs, Hon. Olamide Lawal, I hope my open letter meets you well.
Either anyone likes it or not, you are the representative of the entire youth and youth groups in Ogun State in Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun - MFR 's administration, and somebody like me will never wish you fail. I am sure you know this!
You might have misinterpreted or they interpreted it wrongly to you my opinions on Laycon's visit to the government House yesterday, but be rest assured that my opinion is in good fate.
I supported and campaigned for Laycon after Erica's disqualification, and I was glad he won. Remember I went all out defending you when some people were attacking you for supporting Laycon?
This is my point, aside his background we read, Laycon has NEVER identified himself with Ogun State while in the house. Unlike the likes of Efe (BBN 2) that shouts "Warri No Dey Carry Last" almost everyday while in the house. Also, Omashola (BBN 4).... "Warri!!!!!!". There has been a time Laycon mentioned Ogun State while in the house. I stand to be corrected!
My support for him was based on his person, not because he was born in Ogun State or any other sentiment. Laycon is a cool headed guy and very intelligent (among the other housemates).
Now this is what I expected from government;
1. The Youth Ambasadorial appointment is in order. Atleast to encourage him to project the State moving forward.
2. There is no justification for the apartment given to him. The dude is not going to live in Ogun State and will not pay any tax to Ogun State. Please note that!
3. The 5million naira is another wasted fund. Laycon does not have any reason to be given such amount of money by the State government. If its a private individual that gave him, thats another thing. If he was invited for a State function and is given 10million for his performance, thats a different ball game. Nobody will even ask question about it.
Lastly, imagine your office is awarded N5,000,000 to host a programme or empower youths in Ogun State, Olamide Lawal. I know your capacity, and I trust you will deliver beyond expectations!
I do not have any reason to attack you, LL. As said earlier, my opinions are in good fate and never an attack on you, your office or Laycon. May you succeed!
Sugar Daddy,
AOB
